U.S. National Parks and Public Lands

My experience includes four decades of professional work with national parks and public lands including master planning, project development, park feasibility studies, public programs, economic/environmental sustainability, philanthropy, friends groups, and more.

Work has included planning, design, management, and operational plans for the Golden Gate National Parks, Point Reyes National Seashore, Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary, Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Hawaiian National Parks (Haleakala, Hawaii Volcanoes, Pearl Harbor), Channel Islands National Park, Santa Monica National Recreation Area, Gateway National Recreation Area, Crater Lake National Park, the Nantucket Islands, and the public lands of the National Conservation Lands system.

“For the U.S. system of National Conservation Lands, Greg has been an instrumental force and ongoing contact in conceiving and supporting the growth of the Friends Groups Grassroots Network of the Conservation Lands Foundation (CLF). This network is a broad array of local organizations that support the conservation of these treasured public lands and advocate on their behalf. As Chair of the Friends Grassroots Network Committee of the Board, Greg has advanced our grant-making to these organizations, supported our underlying principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, and offered valued advice to our many conservation leaders and partners. He is a strategic thinker with a passion for public lands and a joy in helping conservation organizations grow and prosper.”
